Theresa Bullock Cohen is an experienced couples therapist, a certified group psychotherapist, a licensed independent clinical social worker and a board certified coach in full-time private practice. She specializes in working with adults who seek support around their relationships or major life transitions.
Theresa is a former supervisor for the Harvard University Mental Health Fellowship, and currently supervises and provides consultation to other therapists in private practice. In addition, she maintains a strong organizational presence in the region as an Executive Board member of the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy and as a Board Member of NSGP Foundation, a philanthropic organization that supports and promotes group psychotherapy in New England.
For over 20 years, Theresa has enjoyed taking complex information, synthesizing it into understandable material and delivering it in a dynamic and engaging manner as a public speaker, trainer, and workshop presenter. Theresa has presented at Harvard University, Northeastern University, Boston College, Cambridge Hospital and the annual conference for the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy.

Prior to becoming a licensed therapist and certified coach, Theresa graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Communications and worked for 8 years in the business sector. She gained invaluable and diverse experience while working in the corporate world, however she decided to make a career shift to pursue her true calling and earn her master’s degree in clinical social work.
After achieving her MSW from Boston College, Theresa completed a post-graduate fellowship through the Harvard University Mental Health Service. She’s had the opportunity to work in various clinical settings as an Employee Assistance Provider, Addictions Social Worker at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and in community mental health at Wayside Youth and Family Services. Theresa also worked as a staff therapist at Harvard University, providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to Harvard students, professors and retirees.
~ She has extensive couples training through the Family Institute of Cambridge, the Psychoanalytic Couple and Family Institute of New England, and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotional Focused Couples Therapy. She also has attended continuing education seminars on couples therapy through Harvard Medical School, the Society for Sex Therapy and Research and Imago Couples Therapy.
~ She is a certified group psychotherapist through her training with the Northeastern Society of Group Psychotherapy and the American Group Psychotherapy Association.
~ For her work as a coach, she has completed advanced training courses through the Institute for Life Coach Training and is a board certified coach, helping her clients navigate career challenges and achieve their professional goals.
